Stable molding quality by thorough dehumidifying drying
Material purge valve is standard at the discharge section to prevent material from remaining in the hose during material transport. (Empty feed time can be adjusted)
Dew-point checker
The dew point checker is now equipped in the front of the unit so that the air dryness can be easily checked during the periodical maintenance.
Removes water and prevents air bubbles and silver streaks that cause appearance defects, as well as contamination by foreign matter.
Deteriorated honeycomb can cause contamination (foreign matter), and replacing honeycomb takes time. MDRII uses a membrane dryer (polymer membrane type) for the drying section. It is very economical and has a long life of more than 7 years. Replacement is also easy.
- Honeycomb type: A type that produces dry air by baking drying material on ceramic paper to form a honeycomb shape.
- Polymer membrane type: A type that uses a polymer membrane to separate moisture from compressed air and provide dry air.
Minimizes dimensional error and stabilizes moisture content
There is a significant difference in drying accuracy between MDRⅡ and Hopper Dryer.Stabilized moisture content minimizes dimensional errors in molded products.
In addition, dehumidifying drying to moldable moisture content is possible approximately 2 hours faster than with hot-air dryers. This contributes to increased productivity.
Helical Hopper Specifications
Improves defects by thorough dust removal.
- Resin material is separated into "powder" and "material" by the spiral airflow and agitation airflow generated in the hopper.
- This equipment thoroughly removes dust.
Structure and Principle
While rotating the resin material transported in a fixed quantity in the hopper, the fine powder contained in the resin material is collected from the air suction port at the top of the hopper to the collector side.
At this point, agitation air is sent from the bottom of the hopper, and the resin material is fed back into the hopper by the delivered air and the fine powder adhering to the surface of the resin material is repeatedly removed.

- The hopper collects the dust in the material conveying line and keeps the occupying space to the minimum.
- The air swirls in the hopper to isolate and collect the pellet dust efficiently.
(The hopper is also usable for quick mixing of crushed materials.) - Upper filter shape and size are changed. Achieves the best dust collection.

Improve productivity by making maintenance easy
Maintenance (cleaning time, etc.) is reduced by 50% compared to conventional models
- No tools are required, and daily cleaning that occurs with material changes, etc., can be easily performed.
- The drum and lid parts can be opened to expose all the parts, making it easy to see at a glance where cleaning is needed.
- This contributes to shorter cleaning and setup times.

Material level gauge (standard)
The position of the material level gauge is adjustable to optimize.
In the case of small-volume production, the work of removing remaining material after the end of production is eliminated, which reduces setup and changeover.
Ring blowers for long-distance conveying (standard specification)
All models are equipped with a 2 hp ring blower as standard.
Long-distance conveying is possible in factory environments where dehumidifying dryers cannot be placed near molding machines.
Closed conveying (optional)
Closed conveying, in which conveying is performed in a sealed condition, eliminates air intake and shuts out moisture absorption from the outside air. More thorough drying is possible.

Total Link provides integrated control of settings, startup, and monitoring of peripheral equipment
- Using HARMO's Traverse, batch setting, startup, and monitoring of peripheral equipment can be performed in a batch.
- For example, a take-out robot can be used to set peripheral equipment placed outside the clean room.

The key to improving the appearance of molded products is not a hot-air dryer but a dehumidifying dryer.
HARMO's " dehumidifying drying unit, MDRⅡ improves the problem of moisture and fine particles that are the remote cause of appearance defects through thorough dehumidifying drying and removal of fine particles.
Rotating separation and agitation are performed in the hopper by air to repeatedly remove fine particles attached to the surface of the resin material. The fine particles that cause molding defects are removed cleanly and the molding quality is stabilized.
