Stable injection molding even in high humidity by using dehumidifying dryer

Manufacturing in areas with high humidity will result in product appearance defects due to insufficient drying of materials like below,

  • Appearance defects of low gloss and white spots with transparent products
  • Contamination; an indirect cause of Black streaks is mixed
  • Appearance defects of bubbles and silver streaks
  • A lack of durability and impact resistance by Hydrolysis
  • Changing defect rate of products caused by weather and moisture

Dehumidifying dryer can solve these problems!
To reduce appearance defects, "Dehumidifying dryer" is needed not "hot air dryer".

Difference between "hot air dryer" and "dehumidifying dryer"

Testing conditions

  • Material:66PA
  • Moldable moisture content:1,000 ppm as standard value
  • Transition of moisture content:Drying for 5 hours starting from 2,800 ppm

Result

  • 1 hour later
    Hot air dryer:1,850 ppm 
    Dehumidifying dryer:1,600 ppm
  • 5 hours later
    Hot air dryer:820 ppm
    Dehumidifying dryer:440 ppm

What you can do with dehumidifying dryer

  • The drying time recommended by the material manufacturer can ensure stable drying.
  • Stable material supply is possible without being affected by winter or rainy seasons.
  • It is possible to suppress the defective appearance of products such as silver due to insufficient drying.
